Personalised Business Fire Safety Advisers Brisbane

If you have an occupancy of more than 30 occupants in your building (not just employees), you are required to appoint a Fire Safety Adviser or FSA for your business but they do not need to be on staff. The role of a Fire Safety Adviser is to provide appropriate evacuation training to staff, and to help organise the fire and evacuation plan and practice.

Appointing an FSA to your building is as easy as calling Personalised Business & Coaching Solutions on 07 3410 8482 – organise your FSA today.

Our accredited Fire Safety Advisers are able to advise on the correct instruction of fire safety evacuations to ensure they can be carried out at prescribed times and intervals. We also undertake the required Fire Safety Audits.

They are also deemed competent to look at fire safety installations, maintenance of such hazards in relation to fires and controls, emergency planning and first response fire fighting, evacuation and mandatory instruction.

They are familiar with all aspects of fire safety and will be able to offer advice that ensures appropriate emergency planning has taken place.

From 1 July 2008 existing high occupancy buildings have less than 12 months to appoint a Fire Safety Adviser. If you are a new occupier of a high occupancy building your Fire Safety Adviser must be appointed within one month of occupancy.

Fire Safety Advisers of high occupancy buildings will need to ensure:-

  • Correct advice is being given to ensure the appropriate emergency planning has taken place.
  • Fire Safety Adviser engaged must be familiar with the evacuation coordination procedures specific to the building and give the evacuation coordination instructions or arrange for the instructions to be given by a suitable person who is also familiar with the site.

Definitions of a high occupancy building
